The main focus of this virtual conference is to enhance our personal and community cultural responsiveness!

• Empowering Our Differences to Make a Difference with Steven Davis & Nancy Labanda 

Participants will learn key strategies to unlock their student’s potential by adopting the 3r’s; Relating, Representing, and Reasoning. The 3r’s empower us to think about and use information in productive and mutually beneficial ways. This workshop will focus on strategies that help educators connect with students and families of diverse cultures.

• Building Capacity: Removing barriers and building trust in the classroom with Dr. Sherry Coleman & Gloria Fernández Tearte 

This interactive workshop focuses on building skill competencies and explores cultural bias and barriers that can impact student experience as well as success.

• 20 Things I can do to be a more effective and equitable educator with Dr. Donald Patton 

In this session, participants learn how to bridge the gap between home and school, build relationships, and become a more equitable educator.
