Democracies don’t fail because of leaders alone. They fail when everyday citizens lose the capacity to relate across differences and make informed decisions!

That capacity is now under visible strain. Trust in institutions has fallen below 30%. Political polarization has reached levels where many Americans view one another as threats rather than fellow citizens.

A democracy of, for, and by the people requires citizens who can think critically, evaluate truth, cooperate across differences, and take responsibility for shared outcomes. Without those skills, even the strongest institutions begin to hollow out.
